Short Bio

My name is Monica Romano, and I serve as a City Councillor of Milan for the Democratic Party. I am also a writer and a political representative.

I am Vice Chair of the Equal Opportunities and Civil Rights Committee and of the Special Committee against Hate Speech of the City of Milan.

My work focuses on civil rights, equal opportunities, social rights and labour policies, with an institutional approach attentive to social and cultural transformations.

I am a member of the National Directorate of the Democratic Party and co-head of the Labour Department of the Democratic Party in Milan.

Over the years, I have gained significant experience as a consultant and trainer in diversity management and gender equality, working with public institutions and private organizations.

I have published four books on civil rights and social inclusion.
